    Hi! I want visitors to be able to send an email when they push my call to action button.
    How do I do this.
    Maybe a dumb question, I’m just a beginner 😉

  • Hello, setting your mail in form mailto:name@email.com is redundant way and it can’t be achieved for CTA button. Also in that way your email address is exposed to spammers.

    I suggest that you create page with contact form (like Contact Form 7) and then put your link to that page to your CTA button.

    Thank you for your quick respons.

    I used the following in my footer (it is in Dutch), does that mean that the email address is exposed to spammers?

    <p><i class=”fa fa-envelope”></i> Mail naar name@email.com</p>

    The website is http://www.directievoering.com
    It’s in Dutch. On the contact page I didn’t use mailto.

    I had a contact form (from Contact From 7) on the page.
    The only “problem” with it, is that a pop up email seems more direct than leaving a message.

    The call to action on the bottom of the page translated:

    Titel= Yes, I want to participate!

    Text= Excited? Let’s find out together what <our masterclass> can do for you.

    Button= Challenge us!

    Well, it is exposed but it is up to you, if you begin to receive spam then remove it.
