Calendar not showing correct date

Hello,

I have a small issue with the date of my wordpress installation. The time zone is correctly set. When I go to the settings panel, wordpress shows the correct date and time for my time zone (it’s now 12.40 on Oct 14th). BUT on the main site, the calendar widget shows the wrong date. It’s highliting yesterday’s date (oct 13.th) rather than the 14th.

any ideas what could be causing this?
my hosting provider in the States while I’m in Europe, but that doesn’t explain it because in the States it’s already the 14th..
