Really sorry about the speed of your website. Besides caching there may be some other issues with your site as you said it was slow before installing the caching plugin. I recommend you install the WP Health Check plugin to troubleshoot the issues with your website.
- In wp-admin go to Plugins > Add New,
- In the search field type “Health Check”
- In the search results install the “Health Check & Troubleshooting” and activate it
- Once you’ve activated the Health Check plugin, in the wp-admin menu go to Tools > Site Health
- Check the recommendations listed under status. The plugin also allows you to activate troubleshooting mode which allows you to deactivate and activate plugins without changing what visitors see on the frontend.
Which cache plugin are yo using?
Hi Tunde
I am using
wp fastest cache
You can try to purge cache or perhaps deactivate the Cache plugin for now and see if your website will return to normal
Take a look at your network activity:
https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/network
I just checked and it loaded 215 requests and 12.9MB of resources.
The delay I am seeing is probably in line with what I would expect for that size website…
Whoa! Good catch @whitsey! I wouldn’t have checked a second time. It’s almost double the original!
