Cache buster not working reliably

    Version 5.3.1 and the same issue on 5.3.0 – wordpress 7.01

    The admin bar often doesn’t show when logged in and clicking between pages. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn’t. Not sure why it is doing this? Seems to correct itself if I clear cloudflare cache on all pages but then the problem can come back several page clicks later.

    Checked page rule on cloudflare and can’t see anything obviously wrong.

    I just saw what looks to be the problem. I had an old page rule which was still active (different section on cloudflare’s admin panel). I have deleted it and the cache buster now appears to behave normally.

    Glad you found it! An old conflicting Cloudflare page rule can definitely cause that kind of intermittent cache buster behavior. Thanks for sharing the fix!
