Bypass URL issues on WPEngine hosting

The bypass URL doesn’t work properly on websites hosted on WP Engine. It works normally and will bypass the home page but when I click on links in the menu it reverts back to the maintenance holding page for CMP.

I have logged a support ticket with WP Engine but they have said it’s the plugin developers responsibility to ensure it works on their platform. Are they’re cache exclusions that they need to add? If so, what are they?
