By far the best multilingual plugin for WordPress
-
I’ve used WPML, and hated every minute with that bloated monstrosity. So I switched to Polylang Pro. A far better solution, which I’ve been using for many years on various websites. But then I had a client who didn’t want to pay for Polylang Pro. So I decided to have another look at the market to see what was out there. As a developer, the principles of DRY, KISS and YAGNI are my guiding stars. So I wanted to find a plugin that matched these principles, and I found Bogo.
At first, I was a bit sceptical. Could such a seemingly simple plugin meet my requirements? After testing it on a few websites, I have to say I’ve found the best multilingual plugin for WordPress out there. Sure, it has its rough edges and, out of the box, it’s no more capable than any other multilingual WordPress plugin of handling every conceivable configuration and integration. But it’s been very easy for me to write a simple mu-plugin to solve the specific needs I’ve had, and with AI, anyone can do it.
That’s why I’m giving Bogo five out of five stars and my very warmest recommendations.
