Buttons not showing up

I’ve created buttons, changed text & links to custom but they are just not showing up. I have a tick by Show Buttons but even if I change from my image background to anything else they just won’t show up. They did when I changed them at the very start of me customising the theme, but now own’t. Could it be because I have hidden site title?
