• I’m hoping that my decent communication skills will make up for my lack of tech knowledge… My website is zombiehammer.com. I recently updated to 4.5.3, and now I’m getting sporadic functionality on mobile devices. Buttons don’t work, shopping cart doesn’t update… I’m a one man show over here, operating every aspect of the company myself… And I know little to nothing about “code.” Sales have come to a complete halt because of these issues, so I’m hoping that someone can help me out in terms that I can understand. Thank you!

Can you tell us a specific example of the issue?

On the home page, I can click the “Products” button several times with no result at all. I’m not certain that I’m even seeing the mobile version on my phone; it looks just like the desktop version.

I couldn’t emulate the issue with iPhone 6. Can you also tell us a specific device the issue occurs on?

I’m seeing it on my Galaxy S7, but others are seeing it on various devices… Motorola, for one.

I tried emulating on ‘Android 6 on Motorola Moto X 2nd Generation’ and couldn’t see the issue.

Do you have a device list to draw the line? It sounds like you’re trying to support every device. Or maybe you’re using a theme that promises it to work in every browser and device?

Honestly, I don’t understand the second half of that reply… I’m pretty sure it’s a custom theme. Does it appear to be the mobile version when you pull it up on a mobile device? Thank you for your help, btw…

What do you mean by this?

Some websites have a mobile version, and some do not. When I am on a mobile device using the “desktop” version of a website, I sometimes have functionality issues like this. It seems like that is what is happening here.

Do you have a mobile version of the website? If you don’t then the website will appear as desktop, yes.

    (@zombiehammer)

I don’t know. This is what I’m trying to find out.

I would say you don’t, but is there any way you could contact the developers that built your theme? They would know what was delivered.

I wish I could… He is not doing this kind of work any longer, which is why I am fumbling through it. I am currently looking for someone…

I know just enough to add products and such… But I don’t have the knowledge to get very deep into the functionality.

I just now was introduced to someone that will hopefully be able to help me. I’ll post when there’s news. In the meantime, I’m still open to thoughts and ideas… Thank you again.
