• Is it possible to activate a “Go to top” button in ColorMag, which appears at the bottom of a page every time it is very long and you want to offer this to the user to get to the top of the page instead of scrolling up?

  • Hi @thobie,

    The free version already has the scroll-to-top feature. If you are using an old version, we recommend you update to the latest version of the theme. If your site does not show the scroll-to-top option using the latest version theme, please provide us with the site URL link here. We will investigate the issue and get back to you accordingly.

    Regards!

    „If your website does not display the “Scroll-to-top” option with the latest version of the theme, please provide us with the URL link of your website here. We will investigate the problem and get back to you accordingly.“

    According to your documentation, the button is under:

    Location: Appearance → Customize → Footer → Scroll to top

    to find.

    I am using the latest version 3.1.8 of ColorMag, this function is not available there.

    I can’t give you the URL of the website at the moment. The website is offline because it is under maintenance!

    I’ll give you an alternative URL of a website with the ColorMag theme that I also run:

    https://www.ikarus-wegweiser.de

    Hi @thobie,

    The scroll to the top exists on your site, but it was hidden with an additional button on the bottom, and the color was also faded by your content background. Please add the following CSS to fix your issue.

    a#scroll-up {
    bottom: 40px;
    opacity: 1;
    }
    a#scroll-up i {
    color: #000000;
    }

    Also, to add the CSS, follow the steps mentioned here: https://docs.themegrill.com/knowledgebase/where-do-i-add-my-custom-css/

    Regards!

    Hi, thanks, it works for this website.

    However, on the other website, which is currently under maintenance and not online, when I scroll down a long page I get the up button in black for 1 second, then it disappears.

    How can I make it appear permanently like on the Ikarus website?

    Hi @thobie,

    As mentioned earlier, the scroll-to-top feature works fine by default. We will need to look into your other site and how you configured it. In the provided site, the scroll-to-top button does not show because there is an addition button, and the same color is used as the background.

    We recommend you use the above CSS code and make changes to the color code #000000 to properly show the scroll to the top button on your site.

    Regards!

    The website is currently under maintenance and cannot be reached.

    Either we postpone the matter until the relaunch is completed and the website is accessible again.

    Or you can offer me some way of sending you a link to the maintenance plugin by e-mail so that you can see the complete website behind the maintenance page.
