I installed the plugin but when I click the button to add the recipe nothing happens.

It could be a conflict with a plugin.

Do you have any advice for this?

Do you have a list of known plugin conflicts?

  • Same issue, something isn’t working with the update.

If you really need to post a recipe like I did, I found this works. Find the page with the last recipe you made. Go to text mode, copy the MPP tag:

    EX:
    [mpprecipe-recipe:13]

Go to your new one, increment by 1.

I have no idea what long term effect I may have just messed up, but I needed to post a recipe now.

    Hello,

I believe this is an issue with Chrome and it’s security settings. Please try using Explorer or Firefox to edit or add a recipe to see if it works. Also try updating to the latest version of Chrome.

We can’t replicate the issue on our end. We were able to access a blogger’s admin to see if we could edit with our Chrome and everything was fine but the blogger still had the issue. Also, the issue seems to be temporary and corrects itself in a few hours.

Please let us know if you’re able to edit or add recipe with a different browser than Chrome. We can then help you sort everything out. It won’t be anything too difficult.

    Thanks,

We have more answers and an easy fix.

Please update to the latest version of WordPress. The older version had an issue that they’ve corrected in the latest release. This was causing issues with our plugin and others. Updating WP will correct the problem.

Thanks for you patience and please let us know that all is good.

    Cheers,
    Commodore

P.S. – @ Peter – good thinking about your workaround with the shortcode. I’m not sure how this will affect the next recipe shortcode but am looking into it. It should be fine but I’ll let you know for sure.

I’m having the same issue – clicking the button doesn’t create a popup. I’ve tried in Chrome, Firefox and Edge. WordPress version is 4.7.4. I think it must be a plugin issue. Is there a list of plugins that conflict with yours?

Thanks petermares (@petermares). Your trick worked and I was able to add a new recipe to the post. Smart move

    Hello,

We’ve just released a new version 7.6.2 that corrects the issue. This is now available.

We apologize for any inconvenience. This was a big release and the optimization enhancements were a little tricky. It should all be good now.

Please let us know if everything is corrected with the new version.

    Thanks,
