  • Good news, I’m unstuck, and it appears indeed to be a memory issue… I added:

    define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘128M’);

    to wp-config.php, doubling my available memory and voilà, image import worked… 🙂

    Thanks in any case for the excellent, prompt support… 🙂

    Cheers,

    David

    Unfortunately our hoster doesn’t provide as much memory.

    ok, stay tuned, I’ve got an idea on how to fix this for (hopefully) everyone, but it’s going to take some time to implement. Not sure if it will be this week or next.

    Improved Import function is in ‘dev’: http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/ewww-image-optimizer.zip

    It’s slightly slower, but it uses AJAX with a simple progress indicator (it shows up after the first 100 images have been scanned). In testing with ludicrous amounts of images, the batches (100 images each) completed in 6-10 seconds, and used minimal amounts of memory.
    I won’t release the next version until I hear from both DLT95 and cgold that this improvement fixes the problems, as I dont want to push out another release to 5000+ users that doesn’t fix the issue.

    Hi Guys,

    I have another issue. When I do the bulk optimize it says “License Exceeded”

    If I go into the settings it says I have plenty of image optimizations left

    Cloud API Key: Verified, used 8587 of 35000, usage will reset in 30 days.

    cgold, please contact me directly via http://www.exactlywww.com/contact-us/ and provide the email address that you use for paypal, so I can make sure it isn’t something server-side.

    UPDATE: nevermind, just noticed I have an email with your payment confirmation sitting in my inbox. I’ll look into the issue and see what is happening.

    Well, everything looks fine on the server-side. If you go back and resume the bulk, does it keep saying license exceeded? I wonder if there is a glitch with the caching, but I’m not sure how it would have said it was exceeded when you clearly were not over your limit. At any rate, let me know if the issue persists.
