    Hi.
I’m completely new to wordpress and building websites in general, but I’m hoping to set up a site with wordpress pretty soon. I want to use Bluehost, but my financial resources are kind of limited at the moment so I want to make sure I actually have a site that is up and running before I have to start paying for hosting. So I guess my question is, is it possible to build a wordpress site completely offline, then get a host/domain and get it online? Thanks.

  • Yes but it’s not easy or for the faint hearted. First you would need to set up a local web server to run WordPress. There are further details on this in installing WordPress locally. Then, when you were ready to upload the local site to a remote server, you would need to first review Moving_WordPress.

Hi I would sugest you to install AMPPS, because it comes with softacolous apps so it’s more easy to install WordPress from there.

I see, thanks! I’ll definitely try to look into what you’ve suggested ^^
