Bugged plugin wont delete (sharebar)

    I’m having an issue with a deleted plugin called “sharebar” by Monji Dolon

    The share bar is almost entirely cutoff on the left side of my page. After deactivating and deleting the plugin it still appears. It doesn’t seem to show up on pages, only on posts.
    My “hacky” solution was to activate the plugin again and disable it from all pages and posts. This is not ideal and seems to still appear on mac computers (specifically the large screened ones) but isn’t visible from my pc.

    I’ve tried accessing the FTP files to delete it yet seems there are still nested files lingering elsewhere. I’ve also attempted to use SSH to delete the plugin’s files following the instructions from host gators blog using both PuTTY and winSCP to access SSH and delete the nested files from there but with no luck… likely from an error on my end.

    My website hasn’t launched so I’m not sure what use it would be to give the URL. Although I’m using hostgator and of course wordpress.

    Can someone point me in the right direction, or offer a solution or link to a step by step, preferably dumbed down. Appreciate any help in advanced.

    Seems as though the devs don’t support it anymore.

    In general, how would I go about this issue with any given plugin that still appears after it’s deleted?

    If you can’t delete files with FTP, change the permissions to 777 and try to delete them. If you still can’t, ask your webhost for help.

    The plugin also may be hardcoded in theme files; read the plugin docs to find the php function that you need to look for and delete from the theme files.

    If you are using any cache plugins then trying clearing your cached files.
