bug with pagination when custom structure permaling

Hi !

I got this weird behaviour when using custom permalink but not when using default permalink structure : running 2.0.7.

this is workin -> http://www.domain.com/?cat=304&lang=en&page=2
this is not workin -> http://www.domain.com/en/news-release/page/2/

this is workin -> http://www.domain.com/?cat=304&lang=en
this is workin -> http://www.domain.com/en/news-release/

I resave my permalink & polylang config settings just to be sure.
Same behavious thru custom template AND default templates (twentysixteen per example).

My custom permalink structure are : domain.com/%category%/%postname%/
I’m currently running on localhost but, for a test, i ran it on a dev environnement with the same issue.

Could be something i’m missing but after reading all the similar posts about this issue… i still not found any way to resolve this, help !
