Bug in user search

    Hi,
    Just saw a bug in the user search. If you go to Users, then try to search René with the accent, then retry to search anything you will be redirected to the home page of your website.

    Anybody saw that bug?

    I just tried this on 4 separate WP installs (all 4.1.1) and was unable to reproduce this bug.

    Just to confirm, you are referring to Dashboard > Users > “Search User” field?

    Also, just to note, one of my installs has quite a few plugins, whilst the other 3 are pretty bare.

    Is there any possibility that a plugin you’re using is causing this? I would love to help figure out which plugin it is so that we can alert the plugin developer and/or WordPress core developers.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply, yes that’s exactly what I do. I have try this on 5 wordpress install with different or no plugins and it always do the same thing. Can it be something with my server?

    I can setup a new WordPress installation for you and give you credentials if you would take the time with me to check.

    Do all 5 WP installs have a user named “René”? None of my 4 installs contain a user with this [user]name.

    I would love to take the time with you to look over it!
