WP smush.it does not work with SSL, I have visited smush.it and tried to smush https://ic0nic.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/valid-rss.png (it has HTTPS) it gave an error “Could not get the image” then I tried http://ic0nic.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/valid-rss.png (no HTTPS) and it worked.
It would be great if the plugin forced non SSL upload.

Thanks. In the upcoming Smush.it 1.6.5.1 we are handling this to convert images with https to http for the API service.

Version 1.6.5.1 is now live, could you download it and check this? It should have been addressed in this version 🙂
