Hi,
can you post a link to your sitemap or right click and chose “view Source”? Is there anything before the <?xml?
Best regards,
Arne

Awesome, that fix the problem.
The only thing i looks very different then the previous version of sitemap.
Example of the old one: https://www.dropbox.com/s/44248lioecqg7f8/Screenshot%202014-04-01%2013.09.29.png
The new one after installing the newer version:

Thanks Arnee !
Now my sitemap looks fine: http://cinemaforum.net/sitemap.xml
Thank you again
Great to hear π
The new sitemap format is split into sub-sitemaps, each for one post type and month. That allows you to have more posts in one file and the server resource usage is reduced, since only a few items are queried per request.
Feel free to rate the plugin if you are happy with it! http://wordpress.org/plugins/google-sitemap-generator/

Great, thanks for the awesome support! π
Arnee,
Does breaking it down into sub-sitemaps provide any other benefit other than reduced server load? Is it better for the robots and indexing, or just server resources? Is this a new protocol for sitemaps?
Also, why does it say “Search engines haven’t been notified yet” after upgrading to the latest version?
Thanks!
Hi Arnee,
Which version of 4.02 shall we download? The one posted here in this thread or on the plugin homepage? Thanks.
