    After removing the plugin, I can no longer disable the automatically featured image; an image with an error message keeps appearing. Installing this plugin is irreversible.

    Hi Vahebag,

    I’m sorry to hear this. This is not default behaviour.
    Most likely it’s a clash with a plugin of your theme. I’d like to fix this.

    Can you share the error message?
    And which plugins and theme you use.
