Hi Johnnie, can you provide more information. Did you check the log file? Do you receive any error messages?

    Thank you

I seem to have the same problem. It started after updating to WP 4.2.2 and v3.9.6 of AIOWPS.
I can change and rename the login page but I get two problems:

    1. When I try and logout it gives me this URL
    http://www.namehere.nl/*****/?action=logout&_wpnonce=ef12ed27b1
But I get this in my screen:
    Not Found
The requested URL /***** was not found on this server.

    2. If I take a different browser and go to http://www.namehere.nl/***** and try to log in it also tell me that:
    Not Found
The requested URL /***** was not found on this server.

@rent-a-dirk do you have any cache plugins? Do you have any other security plugins?

You say it started since you updated to WP 4.2.2 and v3.9.6 of AIOWPS. Did you also update any other plugin or your theme?

    @mbrsolutions
    – No other plugins active. I deactivated them first
    – No update to the theme

Extra: When all the plugins are turned off and I turn Brute Force Rename Login Page on, I get my 404-page when I log out and can’t log back in on either my named page or the wp-login.php. I had to rename the file on ftp to get back in and turn off the rename option.

Have you tried the cookie based brute force protection feature instead?
It is similar in that it also hides your real login page.

Thanks for the quick response. 🙂

I didn’t turn the Cookie Based Brute Force Protection on that I can remember. It’s not turned on now.

Sorry I have been really busy. The GoDaddy Managed WordPress really doesn’t have a lot info you can extract. I feel it must be in the .htaccess file. There must be some conflict. One because you can login from your hosting account directly into your WordPress admin. TWo, they control the files except four folders.

I had to use a plugin that redicts from the wp-admin. It’s WPS Hide Login. It is working fine.

I purchased about a month of that hosting to check it out since I will be selling it and testing my plugins on it.

    Cool. Thanks bro.

@johnnie so are you still having issues with this plugin? Or are you saying you are going to be moving a new host and then carry out some test?

I have a website on Godaddy and use the WP all in one security plugin. I changed the login url and now cannot login so I cannot get to the dashboard to make any further changes to security settings. The WP login url on the Godaddy C-Panel in unchanged, click on it and it returns a 404 error.
Should I see a change in the htaccess file to reflect the login url change and where in the htaccess file would I look for it?

@pisces5000 you might like to check the following URL.

Sorry you misunderstood me. One WP Security & Firewall does not work on GoDaddy Managed Web hosting. Hands down it doesn’t work. GoDaddy Managed Web hosting breaks a lot of plugins.

To secure login pages for my clients, I had to switch to WPS Hide Login. It’s my hopes you can resolve this so I can use one plugin and don’t have to mix and match.

I have several hosting accounts out there. I test them all.

Thank you buddy. Sorry I was not clear.

Re mbrsolution I checked the URL you suggested but that is no help since I cannot get into the WP dashboard. What I was hopping is that somebody could identify lines in the htaccess file that would be created by the brute force settings and that I could change or delete these lines so I can get back into the admin login.

@pisces5000 you can rename this plugin folder.

Check your .htaccess file and remove any code in between and including the following tags:

    # BEGIN All In One WP Security
    # END All In One WP Security

Log back into your website, rename the folder back to its original name. Enable the plugin and fix your issue 🙂

If you have any more questions please let me know.

    Regards

Thanks heaps mbrsolution! I didn’t delete all the WP security settings, only deleted the Brute Force setting and now I am able to login. Great thanks again

    hi pisces5000,
If you are having issues with the rename login feature, please try the alternative cookie based feature. It does a similar thing but works differently.
