Browser crash for debug list too long

I left the plugin to regenerate 3000+ posts and the debug list got pretty big, at some point the browser (firefox) crashed. I had to restart the regeneration and with Firebug I deleted the OL html debug container to avoid to print debug information.
Maybe we need an option to turn debug output on/off?
