Went to click on the website today to find it entirely broken due to an apparent fatal PHP error seemingly caused by W3 Total Cache. After finally managing to delete this plugin a couple of pages on the website are live again but the rest of it is white screening and I’m unsure how to fix this.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @kimberleyshms,

Can you please what was the error message and on which line?

    Hi,

    The message was:

‘W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /home/ovm0pg0mixgz/public_html/wp-content/advanced-cache.php.”

And I’m unsure what line – when I tried to go onto the website or WordPress admin it was showing up with that message on a white screen instead of the website.

    Hello,

Can you confirm that advanced-cache.php is deleted?? I thought that you have the error in the code. That’s why I asked about the line.

I have since deleted the W3 Total Cache plugin. Upon deleting the plugin a couple of web pages restored but most of but my website is still broken and I am now unsure how to fix it.

Do you have any other file like db.php or object-cache.php in /wp-content/ folder

Hi Marko, I’m not sure how to check that as I’m not a developer.

those files should be checked through an FTP connection, or through the file manager of your webhosting account. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.
