• I was helping a friend with his site, ehlersproductions.com and didn’t have ftp access. I tried downloading a new theme through wordpress and got a fatal error, and now the site is down. I don’t know how to fix it without ftp access, which he doesn’t have. Is there anyway to remove the theme (it’s called modularity) from the backend without
ftp access? I can’t even get to the wp-admin log in page. This is the code I see at both the login page and the url:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function register_nav_menus() in /home/signalbm/public_html/ehlersproductions/wp-content/themes/modularity/functions.php on line 30

    Please help!!

    Thank you,

    Migzy

  • There is no way to fix this without FTP acess, you would need to remove the theme you were downloading manually through FTP and delete the maintenance file – none of which you can do without FTP access.
