broken links, __FILE__

hi,
I just started running wordpress on a home server for the first time. So I have it on a dedicated machine, where I run mail, apache, mysql etc. I connect via remote desktop.

I set the database connection for wordpress alright and I can even see a homepage, when I type the IP adress of my server on any computer in the domain. the problem is that all the links on that homepage start with “localhost”, which is bad since they are supposed to start with my server IP. The homepage I see does not have its CSS loaded, since I guess the link for that is broken too.

where can I set this up?
