Broke what wasn’t broken

    Gutenberg broke the ability to select custom templates under the Page Attributes meta box (while editing a page in the admin). I spent several hours trying to figure out why I couldn’t select custom templates any more (i.e., switched themes, downgraded from 4.9.8, etc.). Only after deactivating Gutenberg was the problem solved.

    Not only did Gutenberg attempt to fix what wasn’t broken, it broke what wasn’t broken…

    @uptree page templating should work, that sounds like a bug could I dig a little more into why that didn’t work for you. Are you using other plugins perhaps that I could also to try and recreate?
