Breadcrumbs

Hi,
I have a main album with sub-albums containing galleries. I have enabled breadcrumbs in the display settings. The breadcrumbs show in the galleries (main album>>sub-album>>gallery) however they do not show in the sub-albums. The sub-album title appears at the place of the breadcrumbs but the main album>>sub-album path does not show. This makes it particularly awkward for visitors to navigate back to the main album from the sub-albums without either going to a gallery or using previous page option in browser. None of the albums or galleries are linked to a page. Am I missing a setting somewhere?
