I’m using polylang plugin for my website, where default language is English and second language is Spanish.
The breadcrumbs are translated, but when in the Spanish site, the breadcrumb for “home” links to the English homepage instead of Spanish.

Any idea on how to fix this is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for replying.

It appears that my issue is different.
My breadcrumbs are translated. The problem is the “home” links always to the default language instead of the language currently selected.

Is this part of the same bug they are working on?

    @marcomaleco

Ah ok. What you are experiencing is likely something different. We would like some more information.

    1. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?

    2. We had another recent release. Can you confirm you are using the most recent Yoast SEO, v15.0? If you update, does the issue resolve?

    3. Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.5.1? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider. Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast. This guide explains more: https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/.

    4. If you use the Yoast Helper Tool does the issue resolve? Please try the steps below:
    – i. Install & activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/yoast-test-helper/
    – ii. Go to Tools -> Yoast Test
    – iii. Locate the Yoast SEO section and select the “Reset indexables tables & migrations” button
    – iv. Click the “SEO Data” button in the SEO->Tools section.

Hello, yes I can confirm all my other plugins are updated, also I am using WordPress 5.5.1.
I have also tried the Yoeast helper tool following the steps you mentioned and it did not resolve the issue.

Any other thing I can try to fix it?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

We did some testing and we are not able to reproduce this with Yoast SEO v15, WordPress v5.5.1 and Polylang 2.8.2. In our testing with the breadcrumbs the secondary language links to the secondary language homepage. See image: https://pasteboard.co/JuhiaJI.jpg.

In this manner, it sounds like a plugin or theme conflict. Can you try and gather as much information for us as possible? Please Check for conflicts. Install the Healthcheck plugin and enable troubleshooting. Then switch to a standard theme like 2020. Does the issue resolve? NOTE: This will not affect how users see your site.

If there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.

If you didn’t find any conflicts or errors, we think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium and receive our Premium email support and we can help you further.

Hi, I got the issue solved by my hosting. Apparently the source of the issue was Cloudflare.
Anyways, thanks so much for your help in trying to solve this problem.
