I would like to send a message with a picture as soon as the event is fully booked or there are no more places available. So far there is no information about this in the detailed view of an event. The only thing I can tell that an event is fully booked is that it is no longer possible to book it. It would be nice if you could make this more prominent.

You can try to use conditional placeholder {fully_booked}content{/fully_booked} in your booking email templates.

What is the placeholder for the booking end date. As soon as this date has passed, a message should be issued that no more bookings are possible. Like the first two examples here:
{fully_booked} booking not possible {/ fully_booked}
{no_bookings} booking not possible {/ no_bookings}
{??? booking_date ???} booking not possible {/ ??? booking_date ???}
