blogging tool for members

dear all,
I’m looking for a tool, which allows a special group of members to write blog-entries by using the frontend (not the backend!!!). such a tool is needed to organize an online-symposium (such as the following Terraplexic.org/review) where a group of scientists use the blog for their comments on specific papers and developments.
