blog won't load?

    Hi – my blog will not load properly – when I type in the address, I get an ad for something unrelated. I am able to get in the back door by linking through an old comment approval email, but that’s the only way. When I try to get to my home page through the admin dashboard, I get the advertisement again – this happens on most pages. I am self-hosted through Hostmonster.

    I haven’t made any modifications to the site in several days, and it was working fine a couple days ago. Can’t seem to find any support #’s for WordPress so I thought I’d try here?

    Sounds like either your site was hacked or your domain expired.

    What’s your url?

    I would go to http://sitecheck.sucuri.net/scanner/ and see if your site has been compromised.
    If it has here’s what you need to do – http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_My_site_was_hacked

    tried the scan – everything came back clean. my domain name doesn’t expire until december 2012.

    also, forgot to mention I have 3 wordpress blogs, this has happened to two of them, but the other is fine. i am still able to login into them by going to hostmonster control panel and entering through the wordpress admin link from there.

    url’s are fabfittraining.com and shrinkingjill.com

    Have you tried to FTP to your server to check if anything has happened to your index.php file?

    Hmmm – I’m not entirely sure what that means – I checked the File Manager in Hostmonster and it *appears* that the index file is there, and it does contain information – but I am not very HTML-savvy and have no idea if something has been changed. Is there some sort of checking software I can run?

    good news – i decided to reload wordpress onto my site and it fixed the problem immediately!
