Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > First Page options > Slider options:
Select “no slider” from the list.
#acub,Thanks for your quick response.
Under Dashboard > Appearance > Customize, I do not see First Page Options. There is Front Page and under that Slider Options. Is that what you mean? If so, I tried selecting “no slider,” but then the slider disappeared from the main page (I assume that’s called the static page).
I just want it to disappear from my blog page. Thanks.
Go to the Page=Blog. There’s a Add a slider to this post/page slide-button that needs to be set to ‘No’
#rdellconsulting, I assume you mean to exit Appearance and navigate to Pages > All Pages > Blog. Then I clicked edit and scrolled to the bottom of the page, to Slider Options. It is set at “No.”
Thanks.
Are you using the latest version of Customizr? I just made a test here. The “blog” has Slider options set to: “No” and it doesn’t have slider.
Front static page has slider.
Please provide a link.
#acub I am not using the latest version of Customizr. I am using a child theme and don’t understand the implications of upgrading so I haven’t upgraded. Actually, I can’t figure out what version I am using.

Thank you for your help.
You’re using version 3.0.6. And I have no clue why this setting doesn’t work in your installation.
Do you think upgrading Customizr might resolve this? I really need to get rid of that slider because numerous people have told me that when they click on the Blog button on the main page, it doesn’t take them to the blog. In fact it is, but unless they scroll down, they don’t realize they have changed pages. Thanks.
Everyone, I upgraded WordPress and Customizer and the issue resolved itself! Yabba Dabba Doo!
Thanks for all your patient help. And thanks for your ongoing involvement and assistance to everyone.
I will mark this issue resolved.
