blog widget does not work properly

    Hi,

    I wanted to use “blog post” widget to show all post-types named “magazine” in my website. Although the widget supports “products” and “other post-types” in the “display options” -> “post type” section, But that settings does not work at all. All of them list only the posts in my website (not product or custom post types or …). I am using “ACF” plugin for creating custom post types in my site that is compatible with elementor. Here is the image of widget that does not work:

    Hi @hamiddavodi,

    We are currently fixing the tag and category URL issues, and these fixes will be included in version 3.1.7. However, we are still working on resolving the date archive pagination problem. We understand that your case is quite different, which is why this issue has arisen and requires more time to fix. We will do our best to release a fix for the date archive issue in the next version as soon as possible.

    Hi,

    I tested the 3.1.8 version in my website. Hopefully the problem of link of tags of ACF plugin resolved.

    But generally I think you must inspect this widget more precisely in these fields:

    • compatibility with ACF plugin
    • compatibility with elementor theme builder
    • links that the meta data of each post has

    About the first one you can see this link:

    This is an archive page of ACF custom post types. you can see that when you click to an author of a post type, it redirects you to the posts of blog of the site!!! not the post type of ACF plugin written by that author. the same problem exist for date.

    From the previous discussions the problems are: not existing current author, current tags, current categories … in the widget when we use it in a template of elementor theme builder.

    And finally about links of meta, You know that the links of date or author or comments … do not redirect user to the correct place and need more in depth coding.

    Thanks again reporting this issues. Will will try to fixing blog post author or date archive url issues.
