Blog Subscribers Not Recieving My Posts

When I was on WordPress.com I’d send out a post and my site counter for that day would go up as the posts were opened and subscribers were directed to my site. Since migrating to .org when I send out a post it has no difference to the site counter. I can only assume my subscribers are not recieving my posts? I installed Jetpack and migrated all the subscribers over. Also since setting up my new site I have not had one new follower? This may be coincidence but it doesn’t appear so? There is a follow option on my site but I don’t know if its working or not?
