• Hello,

When I publish a new blog post that goes under the Project menu, I set the order number to 0. However, the page never jumps to the first position (usually stays 2nd), but that’s not such a big problem.

The bigger issue is that the other pages are then allocated random numbers. And often (if not always) different pages end up having the same number (say 66), which causes random duplication of the same posts.

We have “Page Tree View” plugin, but rearranging pages manually doesn’t work. Well, it works in the dashboard view, but that’s not how they are displayed.

I have at the moment about 7 different posts that are published multiple times across pages 4 to 7 under “Projects”.

When I manually update all the pages to 0, then they are displayed in alphabetical order (I would like it chronological), and still duplicated.

The only way it works for the moment is numbering the pages manually in the order that I want, but it’s painful 🙁

Is there a way to force the chronological order display perhaps through another plugin?

Could this be the Page Tree View that’s causing the issue?

    Many thanks

  • I checked your website. I can’t find a blog page and don’t see any blog posts in the RSS feed either.

The link you provided points at some ‘projects’ pages… could this be causing you some confusion?

    Hi Nash,

    Apologies for the confusion.

The Projects are the “blog pages” that I refer to, but the issue is still the same, I have random multiple duplications of the same page/project, e.g. “Alpha Fx” is on the pages 4, 5, 6 and 7; “Charity HQ” is on the pages 4, 6, 7; Shoreditch Offices is on the pages 4 and 6, and there are a few more.

    Many thanks
