All I see when I try your site is “Access denied.” Please contact your host.
Get a fresh cup of coffee, take a deep breath and carefully follow this guide. When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures.
If you’re unable to clean your site(s) successfully, there are reputable organizations that can clean your sites for you. Sucuri and Wordfence are a couple.
What I need is specific help with reversing the redirect described above
If you did not add the redirection, it’s likely the result of a hack.
Yes, I agree – how do I cancel it? All my pages are still there unaltered
I gave you the cleaning steps, above.
Thanks, but I was hoping there might be a more straightforward procedure for removing an unwanted redirection – the guide looks very long and complicated
I have found the culprit in the html which is a single line window location replace, but I cannot work out a way to get in and edit it.
Is there a plugin I can use to do this? Any help appreciated
Your site is hacked. You can use a plugin like WordFence to help find stuff, but you can’t trust anything on the site now.
I’m not able to install Wordfence – any others?
why can’t you install it?
Not sure – I get installation error
A plugin will not dehack your site anyway.
You are asking for a shortcut to a very long and detailed procedure. Sorry, there is no shortcut.
