blog conflict

My Word Press blogs are getting buried with the new incoming blogs…..

When I write blogs in the General Interest category, these new blogs appear in the blog page and not go to the named category.

However the way my blog theme template is set up, the latest blog is on top….Not good!

I have assigned a specific category to appear on the featured page.

Yet I am getting the latest blogs posted there as well.

What I want to happen is to have the latest incoming blogs I have designated as General Interest category to go directly there and not interfere with the featured blog page….

Any suggestions?
