Was your site previously on WordPress.COM? That might be the confusion – as .ORG may refer to WordPress.ORG – for a self-hosted WP site . This may clarify the differences:

I thought it was on wordpress.com. I’ve never had a site before and I haven’t put anything up on it because I don’t know which theme I want to run, or at least I’d like to understand the theme before I start generating traffic to the site. I have no clue what I am doing, to be completely honest. Go Daddy is supposed to be hosting my site at least that is what I paid for. All I know is that my site was at the top of my tool bar and last week I could click on it and then adjust the theme and play around with it, but this week, I can’t do a thing. I’m frustrated and don’t know who to turn to for help. Any advice you can offer would be fantastic!

I have no idea what you just asked. I can’t log in to anything as the paleo ntp. I can’t open that link, it will not allow me to long in as the paleo ntp.

okay, thank you for your help. I will start with them. I asked wordpress b/c when I wanted to change anything that’s where the drop box would take me. It makes sense that I need to ask them about connecting. Fingers crossed I get this worked out with them. Thanks again.
