Hi @kicker1212 ,
Here is a comprehensive guide to set your blog page:
Before you can display a blog, you need some content.
Step 1: How to create a Post
- In the left-hand menu, navigate to
Postsand click onAdd New. - Add a title for your post
- Use the WordPress block editor to add your content.
- On the right-hand side, you can add a
Category(e.g., “News,” “Tutorials”) and set aFeatured Imageto make your post more visually appealing. - When you’re ready, click the blue
Publishbutton in the top-right corner.
Step 2: Create a Dedicated Blog Page
By default, WordPress might display your latest posts on your homepage. A more professional approach is to have a separate page dedicated to your blog.
- In the left-hand menu, go to
Pagesand click onAdd New. - Give the page a title, such as “Blog,” “News,” or “Articles.”
- You can leave the content of this page completely blank. WordPress will automatically populate it with your blog posts later.
- Click the
Publishbutton to save the page.
Step 3: Tell WordPress Which Page is Your Blog
Now you need to tell your site to use the page you just created as the archive for all your posts.
- In the WordPress dashboard, go to
Settingsand click onReading. - Under the “Your homepage displays” section, select “A static page (select below).”
- From the dropdown menu for “Homepage,” select your current homepage (e.g., “Home”).
- From the dropdown menu for “Posts page,” select the blog page you just created (e.g., “Blog”).
- Click the blue
Save Changesbutton at the bottom.
Kind regards,
Denis
Thank you for your reply, my site has several subjets ( as the photo), I wish when the bloggers click on the word “Blog”, which will open an individual subjet blog, such as the newspaper site which has an individual blog for each event.
Does your theme can do that and how to set it up ?
Thank you very much !

Create Categories for Your Subjects
First, you need to create a category for each of your subjects. This is the key to organizing your posts.
- From your WordPress dashboard, go to Posts > Categories.
- In the “Add New Category” section, create a category for each of your subjects.
- Click Add New Category. Repeat this process for all your subjects (“Sport,” “Politics,” etc.).
Assign Posts to the Right Categories
Now, when you write a new blog post, you must assign it to the correct subject category.
- When you are writing a new post (or editing an existing one), look for the “Categories” section on the right-hand side of the editor.
- Check the box next to the category that the post belongs to (e.g., “Culture”). You can assign a post to multiple categories if needed.
- Save or publish your post.
Create the Menu Structure
This is where you will build the navigation you want. You will create a main menu item “Blog” and then add your subject categories as sub-menu items under it.
- From your WordPress dashboard, go to Appearance > Menus.
- Make sure you are editing your primary menu. If you don’t have one, create it.
- On the left side of the screen, you will see a list of available menu items.
- Find the Categories section. If it’s not visible, click on “Screen Options” in the top-right corner and check the box for “Categories.”
- Expand the Categories section. You should see the categories you created.
- Select all the categories you want to add to your menu and click Add to Menu.
- A new menu item will appear for each of your categories.
- Now, create a custom link for the “Blog” menu item:
- Find the Custom Links section.
- URL: You can leave this as
#for now, or you can link it to your main blog page if you have one. - Link Text: “Blog”
- Click Add to Menu.
- Now, arrange the menu items:
- Drag the “Blog” menu item to where you want it to appear in your main menu.
- Drag each of the category menu items (“Culture,” “Sport,” “Politics”) and place them under the “Blog” menu item.
- To make them sub-items, drag them slightly to the right. You will see a dashed line appear, indicating they will become a sub-menu of the “Blog” item.
