Hi Michael,
Thanks for reaching out!
You can try translating with Loco Translate — https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/
We’ve built in support for Loco Translate throughout our theme and plugins and it should work flawlessly.
Thanks,
Eduard
So just to make sure, out of all the ways wordpress.com is managing a multilingual version of a website as mentioned here
https://wordpress.com/support/set-up-a-multilingual-blog/
Blocksys, (and what scares me is that most themes would as well) offers only Loco Translate for translating the theme sections and nothing else?
If yes I would really apreciate if this changes and is added as a feature even in the pro version
Yes i have seen all the above content and thank you all for your time to answer to me, but if i go with loco translate, i can’t find a nice solution for a loco language switcher and i was wondering if there is any other free solution!
Hey @coniligr, @michaelmarkou
1. If you want to translate the Blocksy strings then you should use a plugin like Loco Translate, also Blocksy could be translated from the translation project page.
If you want to contribute, you could find our translation projects here:
Blocksy theme – https://bit.ly/2H7kLcQ
Blocksy companion – https://bit.ly/2IsKAEY
2. If you want to create a multilingual site then you should use a plugin like WPML or Polylang.
In Blocksy Pro version you will find a Language Switcher item that will appear once you activate the WMPL or Polylang plugin.
Hope this helps.
