Hi there, Lately, WooCommerce has been testing new features—such as a “Wishlist”, “color swatches”, and so on. I’d like to clarify whether these will work with a free theme? My understanding is that some of these features are intended for block-based themes, and Blocksy isn’t strictly a block-based theme. Thanks for the answer.

  • Hello @loralora,

Unfortunately, we do not currently have any plans to support these features.

That said, our developers are continuously monitoring current trends and developments, so this may be reconsidered in the future as the technology and demand evolve further.

Please stay tuned to our social channels for any future announcements.

    Thanks,
    Eduard

    Hello

We agree that these features are currently in experimental testing, but we’d still like to know if integration with them is planned.
    Save for Later
    Wishlists
    Color Swatcher

We also noticed that similar questions (about the ability to use blocks (as is the case now) arose at https://wordpress.org/support/topic/no-block-editor-option-2/ , and 2.5 years have passed since then – but nothing has changed.

We’d like to understand where the theme is heading, because we really like it. And if it remains at its current stage, without the ability to use the full functionality of the core Woocommerce plugin, which is oriented towards FSE themes, we’d like to know in advance, as if Woocommerce introduces additional functionality, we prioritize using their solutions.

    Thank you.

    Hello @loralora,

I’m afraid I do not have anything further to share regarding these features at the moment. Please stay tuned to our social channels for any future announcements.

Regarding Blocksy becoming an FSE theme, this is still not planned for the time being. FSE currently lacks some of the functionality that is already available in Blocksy, so converting the theme would involve compromises that we are not willing to make.

Once FSE reaches a point where it can provide comparable functionality, we will be happy to revisit the possibility.

    Thanks,
    Eduard
