Blocking IPs unresponsive

    Attempting to block an IP address and the function doesn’t appear to be working. Here’s what I did and what actually happened:

    • Typed in IP address and clicked ‘Manually block IP’
    • A red box, with the text “Wordfence is working” appeared then disappeared
    • No other messages or errors appeared
    • The IP address remained in the text box
    • The tabbed boxes where blocked IP address remained unchanged, with the message ‘No IP addresses have been blocked yet. If you manually block an IP address or if Wordfence automatically blocks one, it will appear here’.

      • I have searched similar topics. In which one, the plugin author suggested to show Java console, I have tried this, to no avail.

      Would be grateful of any support / advice that can be offered….

    Hi,

    It sounds like there might be a problem writing to the database since IP’s aren’t being saved. You might want to have your hosting provider check the permissions and health of the database.

    Is this a new install on your site or has it been working normally until now?
