Block spam messages

    Hi,
    Recently i see that there are many entries to my website from “adv-adserver.com”.
    It seems like some kind of spam or something that adding many coments in my website for affiliate programs.
    Are you familiar with this website? is there an option to block these entries??

    do you use akismet? If not, start using it. It comes with WP, and works amazingly well.

    Does it require specific configuration for this website or it’s a general spam blocker?

    its a general spam blocker designed for use with wordpress. Its very effective. I’ve had 3 spams get through it to my blog, out of 10000 attempts

    you should already have it in your plugins folder, you just need to activate it

    you need an API key from wordpress.COM to use it. You can just sign up over there to get one, its free

    Other than plugging in your API, there is no configuration needed
