My static home page is blank in editing mode. I have disabled the pluging in wordpress and FF and Chrome. I can see the code if I right click on Select All, otherwise the page is blank. The only way to edit is to find the line of code that needs editing, highliight it, delete it, and rewrite it and hope is shows up in the same place.

What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

I purchased Authentic from Bill Robbins.

It has been working fine until now. I am communicating with him. His suggestion is to just copy the code and paste it into a new page. I can do that, and will However, I still cannot cut and paste from Word and retain the original formatting. The “paste as plain text” is toggled off.

Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Fourteen theme with all plugins deactivated?

I decided to just make a new page and to delete this one. I have it ready, so now I just have to figure out how to make it be the new first page.
