    Hi,

I installed a theme recently that blocked me from viewing my site. I went to the FTP client through siteground and deleted the theme. When I returned to my website, I now only see a blank screeen.

    Please HElp

    Thanks in advance,

are you sure you deleted the theme as using ftp you can not delete a folder unless you delete the content so recheck rename the theme folder if still there.

I must have deleted the content as well. I went to the public html and found the folder theme, and then found the theme I was using. I deleted the entire theme folder.

I found all plugins and content were there.

If you installed a theme and you cannot view the front end of your site, just go to admin panel and change back to the theme used before. No matter what theme you will install it will not block access to the admin back panel. Deleting the files will not work unless you select another theme from the admin panel.

Deleting your theme does not effect your content meaning posts, pages and settings as that is all saved on database.

If you deleted the entire theme folder then using ftp upload the theme folder in wp-content folder from wordpress you downloaded.it should have the default themes
