Blank Screen when previewing, deacivating plugins, searching users

    Hi there,

    Just wondering if anyone can shed light on why this site might have recently started showing blank pages all the time, for things like:

    Searching for a user
    Previewing a post
    Deleting a plugin

    The site is
    http://www.sydneyartsguide.com.au

    I’m also having issues with the feed url, but that might be something completely different.

    The site is with CrazyDomains, and we have been having some hosting issues.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Why are you using an old copy of WordPress? Were you aware that your site is currently running a very real risk of being hacked? You need to upgrade WordPress asap. I’ve already had to answer questions relating to a number of other 3.8.3 hacked sites this morning and I’d rather not have to deal with any more.

    Thanks for your reply.

    Yes, I tried deactivating all of the plugins, no change

    Just updated wordpress and tried resetting the plugins as you suggested and tried to preview and instead of a blank screen I got an error in my functions.php.

    Thanks so much! Problems have now been fixed.

    Wouldn’t have spotted it without resetting the plugins directory via ftp. Have a great night or day, and thanks again. I can now sleep!
