I’d like to suggest accepting donations in Bitcoin (or making it more visible, I couldn’t find this option if it’s already available).

It would encourage small amount donations and also make it possible for people unable or not willing to use Paypal to donate.

    How do we do this?

I am sorry if I assumed you knew about Bitcoin and you didn’t. You can watch a short video introducing Bitcoin at https://bitcoin.org.

There are several ways to accept Bitcoin. You could setup your own wallet and publish its address (using free open source software Electrum on a PC or Bitcoin Wallet on Android, for example).

Several WordPress plugins help integrate direct payments or via third-party payment processors like Bitpay which help releasing funds to a regular bank account or you can just buy goods/services in Bitcoin directly or forward Bitcoin among the developers, etc..

I encourage you to research this and experiment with small amounts, let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you @magicfab, I will research it, could you just tell me if I need to pay any real money, recurrent or one time, per account or per transaction, to be your customer?

@john, I don’t sell anything nor do I provide payment processor services. If you use Bitpay, check their conditions. Otherwise you can just setup your own wallet and decide what to do, you don’t need any intermediary. The software is completely free, it assigns you an address the first time you use it, and it lets you re-send any Bitcoins received to anyone else doing the same.
