Hi @ph59
Thanks for using our plugin.
- Does your user attach as an author for that post? If yes, then it’s not possible to hide it unless using CSS.
- Can you elaborate more on this point please?
Thanks,
Hi Riza,
As an admin, I guess I am also an author by default and will have to use CSS to make sure my own bio does not appear on all the posts I created. If I am correct, what would be the CSS code to use?
Regarding the second point: My users can only save their bio in their BuddyPress extended profile. These bios are automatically saved in WordPress users’ profile.
On point 1, I got rid of Redis and this seems to have fixed the issue of bio boxes failing to update.
On point 2 – removing admin from showing a box at all at the end of posts -, what is the answer?
Just discovered that I could disable the post author display… 🙂 I close this ticket.
@ph59 I’m glad to you found a solution that worked for your case 🙂
Thanks for using our plugin!
Well, unfortunately I was wrong about profiles saving in PPA. It still does not work. 🙁
I should perhaps clarify things a bit.
On my website, users update their bio in BuddyPress, and the same bio is then supposed to be replicated in the PublishPress Authors box field. The syncing works fine between BP and WP, not from WP to PPA. The first iteration of the bio in BP is effectively taken by PPA, but no update will be synced from one to the other.
