Same: the default “I’m not a robot” button stopped showing up altogether on our site. Rolled back to an older version and had to turn auto-updates off.

Does this happen for both logged in and not logged in users?

it happens to users that are logged in.
Users who are logged in typically shouldn’t fill out the captcha.
I will look into this soon.
For our site it was both logged in and non-logged in.
I just released a fix in 1.2.1. Let me know if that fixes this issue.

yes all mechanisms work perfect, the only issue (its not an issue for me to be honest) is that captcha is not showing to the logged in users.

after the latest update… there are big problems with the comments when a user is logged in. when a user is logged in first of all captcha does not show, second of all if the user submit the comment the comment will never show up for approval… big big issue… i had to downgrade again. Same applies to the woocommerce captcha
