DOM Depth refers to the number of HTML elements that are nested within the page. The deeper these levels are, the more difficult it is for bots to find the relevant content.
The theme you are using is primarily responsible for generating the HTML code, but sometimes also the plugins you are using. If you are using a page builder such as Elementor or Divi, please contact their support for clarification. If you are simply using a theme, contact their support. If you use plugins that enrich the output of your website (e.g. to display social bars), check whether they are responsible for this and contact their support.
There are also optimisation plugins, see this article: https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/optimization/ – but these often cannot “simplify” the HTML code any further as they destroy the styling. It is therefore important to check the optimisation plugin used for an optimal solution.
