Support » Plugin: Better Font Awesome » [Beta Test] Felonious Error?

  • Just downloaded the latest v2.0.0-beta3 zip and got the following error after installation via file upload within WP admin…

It appears that Better Font Awesome is missing it’s core library, which typically occurs when cloning the Git repository and failing to run composer install. Please refer to the plugin’s installation instructions for details on how to properly install Better Font Awesome via Git. If you installed from within WordPress, or via the wordpress.org repo, then chances are the install failed and you can try again. If the issue persists, please create a new topic on the plugin’s support forum or file an issue on the Github repo.

…BUT when I check the previously-missing FA icons (pins), they’re there! So erroneous error?

UPDATE: After my initial test, I found that bafflingly, the plugin folder was no longer in my plugin directory. And the FA5 icons went missing again. So I uploaded the unzipped folder via FTP and I’m back on track! It even picked up my previous settings, and is now displaying 5.0.13 as the latest version of FA. Thanks!!
