Is there a best practice for creating CMB2 widgets? I found a snippet for widgets, but it was listed as alpha and the warning “Early alpha version. NEEDS WORK.” seemed to imply it wasn’t ready for prime time.

Advice?

Sounds like you found https://github.com/CMB2/CMB2-Snippet-Library/blob/master/widgets/widget-example.php and that’s as far as I’m personally aware of, for any sort of widget integration for CMB2.

This part is just me, but I’m not a big believer in trying to put CMB2 into everything. Wish I had more insight than that.
